- Hidden Firefox Account toolbar button
Hidden Firefox Account toolbar button
By default the Sync/account avatar in the toolbar is hidden (browser.oasis.hideFxAccountsNavbarButton); Sync can still be reached from the app menu and settings—document where users should go instead.
What this is
Oasis hides the Firefox Account / Sync avatar from the main toolbar by default so the strip stays focused on Oasis. Sync and Mozilla account features are still available elsewhere in the browser.
How to use it
- Open the application menu (hamburger) and use Sign in to Sync or account items there.
- Open Settings and search for Sync to manage account and devices.
- The assistant’s own sign-in (Kahana) is separate from Firefox Sync.
Notes and limits
Enterprise or power users who want the toolbar avatar back need a build or policy that clears the Oasis default; consumer Oasis keeps it hidden.
