Oasis Assistant in the sidebar
A dedicated sidebar panel (viewOasisAssistantSidebar / “Oasis Assistant”) hosts the assistant UI; default layout prefs can open it on first run.
What this is
Oasis Assistant lives in a sidebar panel named “Oasis Assistant,” like other Firefox sidebars (bookmarks, history). Your chat session stays in that panel while you browse.
How to use it
- Open View → Oasis Assistant (wording may vary by locale) or use the toolbar pill.
- Drag the sidebar edge to resize. Use the sidebar switcher if you have multiple panels installed.
- The assistant loads in the same profile as the window; closing the sidebar does not delete saved chats (see chat history docs).
Notes and limits
Very small windows may collapse header controls; use the pill or menu if the sidebar button is overflowed.
