Router assist usage
Routing/classification steps may use tokens; explain how that relates to the same usage surfaces users see.
What this is
Routing steps (classifying your ask, picking tools) can consume tokens even before the main answer streams. Those tokens count toward the same daily usage views as chat completions.
How to use it
- Expect higher usage on “do everything” prompts than on a single factual question.
- Compare before/after on the token bar when experimenting.
- Provide shorter prompts if you need to conserve quota.
Notes and limits
Router details are not itemized per sub-call in the consumer UI—use aggregate numbers.
