- Chat timeline
Chat timeline
Conversation view with Markdown rendering for assistant replies (including legacy delimiter fallbacks where needed).
What this is
The chat timeline lists your messages and the assistant’s replies in order. Assistant replies support Markdown (headings, lists, links) with fallbacks for older delimiter formats.
How to use it
- Scroll the main assistant column to read past turns.
- Long replies stream in; wait for the spinner row to finish before assuming the answer is complete.
- Use message-level actions (feedback, copy) from each bubble when available.
Notes and limits
Built-in Firefox pages (some about: URLs) behave differently from normal sites when the assistant summarizes or inspects tabs.

Visual feedback while the model or tools are working (AssistantBusyBar, streaming into the timeline).
