- Import opt-out
Import opt-out
Users can skip browser data import during onboarding (browser.oasis.onboarding.importOptOut).
What this is
You can skip importing bookmarks, passwords, history, extensions, or autofill during onboarding if you want a clean Oasis profile.
Skipping import does not mean passwords are sent to the cloud—it means Oasis will not copy them from your old browser into this profile yet. See Import data from other browsers for where imported passwords live and how they relate to the assistant.
How to use it
- Use the checklist’s skip or “no thanks” paths when offered.
- You can run migration later from Settings → Import browser data if you change your mind.
- Opt-out is stored so the checklist does not nag repeatedly.
Notes and limits
Skipping import does not block Kahana sign-in or assistant use.
