- New tab and assistant landing
New tab and assistant landing
Optional landing on the new tab page introduces the docked assistant (browser.oasis.welcome.shownNtpAssistantLanding and related prefs).
What this is
The new tab page can show a lightweight assistant landing once, so new users discover the docked assistant next to their start surface.
How to use it
- Open a new tab during first week of use; dismiss or interact with any assistant tip shown.
- After you engage, the page behaves like a normal new tab again.
- You can still open the assistant from the toolbar pill anytime.
Notes and limits
The landing is controlled by Oasis welcome/onboarding prefs; resetting profile may show it again.
